RobinWood eco accessories

Challenge

At this moment presented designs does not contain products' pictures. I can not show them before shop's launching in November. RobinWood is an environment-friendly start-up that design and produce accessories made of bamboo, cork and hemp. The idea is strongly connected with sustainability and put attention to eco-friendly cultivation and production process. Thanks to close cooperation with ecological foundation, RobinWood can give its customers unusual possibility to make a real difference. For every purchase company donate trees planting, old trees healing or different types of help for animals living in the woods. That implicates core values of RobinWood: greenness, authenticity, freedom and uniqueness. The philosophie behind this company is very complex that is why simple and on point communication was a must. The target group is split in two: first one is highly aware of eco-friendly products, cultivation and product processes, and second is just interested in eco-ideas but without strong background knowledge. For both of them the most important part is transparency of every part of RobinWood's activity and educational site of communication.

Solution

I was responsible for branding (from a concept to a design), online shop design (comprehensive UX), packaging design, products design support & communication strategy. The major inspiration for RobinWood's brand was Robin Hood's legend while visual identity was build around philosophie of coexistence with nature. The symbol is a synthesis of tree, leaf and Robin Hood's feather. For better recognition of the idea of caring for the environment, all eco-activities are grouped under individual brand called "SHAREwood" (inspired by Robin's Hood forest named Sherwood). The claim, "find your forest", sends a simple message to explore and find a harmony with nature. Every interaction with RobinWood online shop brings customers full access to the philosophical background, certificates, production descriptions and detailed raports from activities. With every product, at least three different actions will be connected to increase involvment of customers - from trees planting to watches recycling. Design is minimalistic, but stylized icons and big pictures of forests build an unique character of a brand and creates an atmosphere of freedom and greenness. Because it is not a simple online shop due to huge amount of information about activities and philosophie, every user's jorney was designed with attention to details and to simplify all interactions. I've designed as well unusual user experience for packaging. All are made of recycled cardboards with minimalistic, eco-looking design. Inside you will find real, scented resin cones and a warranty stamped on recycled paper.
